Obituary

Schenectady: Celeste A. Rossetti, 72, gained her eternal rest April 24, 2026, at the Glendale Nursing Home after an extended period of declining health.

Born August 6th,1953, she was the daughter of the late Francis and Antoinette (Santore) Rossetti.

A lifelong Schenectady resident, she was a 1971 graduate of Linton High School. Celeste enjoyed participating in her class reunion committees.

Celeste was employed for many years as a Paralegal for Attorneys Donald and Ronald DeAngelis. She later worked as the Confidential Secretary to the Schenectady County Attorney retiring in 2020.

She was also a Notary.

Celeste was previously a very active member of the Schenectady City and County Democratic Party.

A devout catholic, she was a parishioner of St. Kateri Church, where she sang in the choir, and formerly served as President of the Parish Council

Besides her parents, she was pre deceased by her brother Frank.

Celeste is survived by her devoted cousin Jacqueline Aldershoff (Vernon) and several other cousins.

With heartfelt gratitude and deep appreciation, a special thank you is extended to her dedicated and devoted friends: Michael Miranda, Cathy-Bern Smith and her husband Steve, Patty, Jack and Derek Ellis and Samantha Miller-Herrera for the love, support, assistance and joy they brought to Celeste over the years.

To the staff of Glendale Home, thank you for your patience and care given to Celeste during her time there.

A calling hour will be held Saturday, May 2nd from 9 to 10 a.m. at St. Kateri Roman Catholic Church, 1803 Union St. with a Mass of Christian Burial immediately following the calling hour.

lnurnment will be private at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, it is respectfully requested that memorial contributions in Celeste's name be made to the Glendale Home Activity Department, 59 Hetcheltown Rd, Scotia NY. 12302.
