On Saturday November 15, 2025, we lost Charlotte Morgan, a retired Vocational

Rehabilitation Counselor for the State of New York. She succumbed to complications

from a stroke at Ellis Hospital.

Her caring spirit and enthusiasm helped many disabled New Yorkers find productive

employment. These successes were often in positions beyond their prior experience

level. Charlotte's spirit was warmly appreciated by these and many friends in

Schenectady. A romance had brought Charlotte to Schenectady in the 1970's. She

found opportunity and her great love of it's people caused her to stay.

Charlotte was a Master Gardener Volunteer for Cornell Cooperative Extension -

Schenectady County. She was active at the Schenectady Living Center Central Park

Greenhouses volunteering for over 20 years. Charlotte supported community members

and individuals with disabilities by sharing her passion and knowledge about plants and

gardening. Her residence was extensively gardened with vegetables and plants of

unique and diverse interest. She added living color both to the park and to her

residence nearby.

Charlotte never married. She leaves behind a sister Theresa (Teri) Morgan of San Jose

California, brother John of Great Falls Virginia and their respective families. Her loss is

mourned by numerous family members as well as her friends in Schenectady.

Charlotte was born in the southern suburbs of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, graduating

from Elizabeth Seton High School and Seton Hill University. She lost her father J.

Herbert while still a teen. He introduced Charlotte to gardening and fostered her love

for it. She is predeceased by her mother Charlotte (also of Schenectady), and sister

Rosemary Adomites of Oil City Pennsylvania. Charlotte remained close with all her

family and even more so with the recent loss of Rosemary. As the oldest sibling she

had the best recall of the care and love passed down by her parents.

1377 Schenectady, NY 12301. A memorial service commemorating Charlotte's life will

be held in the next few months. It will be an opportunity to share memories and joys

celebrating her wonderful sense of humor and great enjoyment of food. When

determined, the date will be announced in the obituary section of the Gleason Funeral
