SCHENECTADY:  Francis M. "Fran" Curran, 59, passed away Sunday, October 26, 2025, in Morristown, NJ. Fran was born in Schenectady to the late Daniel F. and Kathleen O'Brien Curran. He was a graduate of the University of Florida and Stetson University College of Law. Fran was licensed to practice law in New York, New Jersey and Florida.

He is survived by one daughter; Lesley (Robert) Curran Budin, four siblings; Patricia (John) Thorman, Edward (Connie) Curran, James (Kathy) Curran and Thomas (Jean) Curran, one granddaughter; Brooke Budin, several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Calling hours will be Sunday, November 2, 2025, from 2 until 6 p.m. at the Gleason Funeral Home. His Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, November 3 at 11 a.m. at St. John the Evangelist Church, 810 Union St., Schenectady. Interment will be in Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery, Niskayuna, following the mass. Memorial contributions may be made to the Schenectady City Mission, 425 Hamilton St., Schenectady, NY 12305.
