NISKAYUNA: It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Frank Tedeschi on June 25, 2025
Born November 15, 1948 in Roccasecca, Provence of Frosinone, Italy to Tommaso and Rosa (Fraioli) Tedeschi, his family immigrated to the United States in 1963 and settled in Harrison, NY. After graduating from Harrison High School he attended SUNY Oneonta, where he met his future wife, Raffele Mone. They were married in 1972 at St. Joseph's Church and continued to be active parishioners.
Relocating to Schenectady, NY, Frank attended Albany Law School, earning his JD in 1974, and practiced law for nearly 50 years. He was a long standing member of the Schenectady County Bar Association, Board Member and Treasurer of the Italian American Bar Association of the Greater Capital District since it's inception in 1993, and General Counsel and Acting Commissioner of the Schenectady County Department of Social Services.
His children were always a priority and he spent countless hours coaching soccer and ensuring their participation in various activities. He also enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.
With a passion for photography, Frank loved traveling to capture beautiful landscapes. He had a particular fondness for the American Southwest. He also enjoyed woodworking.
Frank is survived by his loving wife Raffele, his children, Stephen (wife Anna, children Rosa and Giuseppe) and Daniel (wife Melissa, son Roman).
He was proud of his Italian heritage and recently traveled with his family to Rome, Assisi, and his hometown. It was an epic journey to share his ancestry.
Calling hours will be Sunday, June 29 from 3 to 6 pm at Gleason Funeral Home. The Funeral Mass will be Monday, June 30 at 12:15 pm at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 600 State St, Schenectady, NY 12305. Burial will be at St. Joseph's Cemetery, Schenectady.
