Washington, DC:  James (Jim) Edward Glenn, Jr., 67, passed suddenly at his home on August 14, 2025. Born on January 21, 1958, in Schenectady, NY, he was the son of the Late James Edward Glenn, Sr and Joan Marguerite (nee Lennon) Glenn.

Jim was a graduate of Mont Pleasant High School in Schenectady, NY class of 1976. He graduated from the University of Albany with a bachelor's degree in political science. He moved to Washington, DC and worked for Congressmen Lee Hamilton, Peter Kostmayer and Michael McNulty. With Congressman McNulty he served as Director of Legislative Services and served for nearly 20 years in his office. Upon Mike's retirement from office, Jim took a position as a Legislative Liaison Officer with the IRS until his passing.

In addition to his professional life, he was dedicated to his family and small circle of friends, he was especially proud of his nieces Emma Osborne and Dr. Jennifer Glenn. He enjoyed traveling and took many cruises to far away destinations. He will be missed by all his family, especially by his Aunt Sr. Anne Marie Glenn PBVM and his cousin Rose Leonardi.

Jim is survived by his siblings Marguerite (Joseph) Osborne [Peggy Glenn] and Michael (Janis) Glenn as well as several aunts and uncles and cousins.

Calling hours will be Friday, August 22, 2025 from 4 until 7 p.m. at the Gleason Funeral Home. His Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, August 23, at 11 a.m. at St. John the Evangelist Church, 810 Union Street, Schenectady. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Schenectady following the mass.
