SCOTIA:  Jane A. DeVarnne, 75, passed away Wednesday, July 30, 2025, at the St. Peter's Hospice Inn. Jane was born in Schenectady to Robert and Francis (Shier) Gleason. She worked at Glendale Nursing Home for several years. Jane was predeceased by her husband Lester S. DeVarnne, who died July 19, 2025. She is survived by two children; Renee DeVarnne of Scotia and Scott (Jennifer) DeVarnne of Raleigh, NC, three brothers; Robert, Mark and Rick (Tina) Gleason, five grandchildren; Atteala M. Cassaro, Gina Cassaro and Samuel Cassaro, Steven DeVarnne and Caroline DeVarnne, a nephew; Taylor Thackeray, great-niece, Bella Scilacchi and several other nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be Monday, August 4, 2025, from 9:30 until 11:30 at the Gleason Funeral Home. There will be a service following the calling hours. Burial will be in Saratoga National Cemetery, Schuylerville. Memorial contributions may be made to the Animal Protective Foundation of Schenectady.
