Marilyn R. Waldron

SCHENECTADY: Marilyn R. Waldron, 91, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, Monday, August 31, 2026, at Saratoga Hospital. Marilyn was born in Jersey City, NJ, to the late Francis and Dorothy Gorman Carlock. She worked at Loblaws in Schenectady for several years. Subsequently, she was a housekeeper at the Heritage Home for Women in Schenectady. Marilyn was a longtime member of the Schenectady Veterans Club.

She was predeceased by her husband, Bernard T. “Barney” Waldron, who died in 2010; three children, Barney Waldron, Jr., Kathleen (Greg) Brown and JoAnn (Guy) Gallucci; and three grandchildren, Meghan Waldron, Judd Boone and Jason Reesor.

Calling hours will be Thursday, September 3, 2026, from 4 until 7 p.m. at the Gleason Funeral Home. Her Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, September 4th, at 9 a.m. at St. John the Evangelist Church, 810 Union St., Schenectady. Burial will be in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Schenectady, following the mass. Marilyn’s family wishes to thank the staff at Saratoga Hospital for the excellent and compassionate care they provided.
