Sadly, Peter passed away on May 3, 2026, at Schenectady Center. He is survived by

his parents, J. Keith and Christine; his brother, David; his sister-in-law, Michelle; his

nephews, Corey and Wesley; an Aunt, Susan Baker-Williams and an Uncle, Colin

Nelson and many cousins in the United Kingdom.

Peter was born in Essex, just east of London, England. He attended elementary school

in the village of Doddinghurst before moving to the United States in 1979, where he

continued his education in the Niskayuna school system. He went on to earn a Bachelor

of Science degree from SUNY Oswego and also studied at Mohawk Valley Community

College. Peter devoted his professional life to public service, working in various

capacities for New York State, most recently in the Office of the Attorney General, until

his retirement following a stroke in 2023.

Peter's life was marked by significant medical challenges, beginning with a brain tumor

in 1986. His resilience in the face of these hardships reflected a remarkable strength,

determination, and enduring spirit. Despite these obstacles, he lived an active and

service-oriented life. In his early years, he was involved in the Boy Scouts and later

served as a counselor at Camp Good Days, supporting children facing serious illness.

A devoted member of St. Stephen's Episcopal Church, Peter was known for his kindness,

generosity, and willingness to help others. He served on the church Vestry and was a familiar

and welcoming presence, ushering at the early service. Services will be held at St. Stephens

Church, The Plaza, Schenectady, NY 12309 on June 6th, 2026 at 11am.
