SCHENECTADY:  Terri Ann (Petta) Shannon, 63, passed away peacefully Sunday, March 1, 2026, at home surrounded by her loving family. Born on November 24, 1962, she was the cherished fourth child of Peter and Betty Petta.

Terri worked at her family's restaurant, Petta's, making fabulous desserts and was known as "Tasty Terri" for her delicious sweets and treats.

Terri is survived by her loving husband and continuous caregiver Bobby Shannon, daughter Katie, brother Mike Petta (Beth), sisters Lynn Caschera (Jim) and Kathy Wolfe (Jim), also, her niece Elizabeth and several cousins.

Bob and family would like to thank Ellis Hospital and Community Hospice for their help in caring for Terri in her final days.  Also, his niece Heather, whose quiet comfort gave Bob the strength to endure the pain of letting go of the love of his life.
